The re-buy structure is a valid form of poker tournament that is used in major events, including the WSOP, across the world. We thought we'd give it a try as one of this season's 2 Special Events. This event will be a free entry for anyone to play in. If you bust out and would like to re-enter the tournament, it will "cost" 20 points that you've earned in previous events this season. Re-buy's will be allowed only at the beginning of the event, so get yours in quick!
Here are the details:
This a free roll event - there is absolutely no cost to participate
sign-ups are required, as is Legue Registration
Every player starts with 3000 in chips
Blinds increase every 20 minutes
Re-Buy's will be allowed for the first 3 rounds only. At the end of the 3rd round player's will have an option for an Add-on.
Re-buy's/Add-ons will "cost" 20 points each (specialty points are not valid)
Players must be completely out of chips to purchase a re-buy. Add-on's are available to all players still in the game at the end of Round 3 (Should a player lose all their chips on the last hand of Round 3, they are eligible for both a re-buy and an add-on for 40 points)
All points collected for re-buys/add-ons will be available in the prize pool
All re-buys & add-ons will provide 3000 in chips
players using points for re-buys/add-on will be required to "pay back" those points to the same division they removed them from. Any additional points earned in this event can be placed in a division of the players choice (maximum of 100 points to a single division)
Prize Point payouts will be calculated based on number of re-buys and add-ons after Round 3 has completed, and the number of players.
Advanced sign-up's are available, and strongly recommended. VIP members have a guaranteed seat in this event, but must still sign-up. You must be a registered member of the SPO (registration is easy and free - click here) to be eligible for this event.
