You’ve seen it on NBC, now put your skills to the test… the 4th Annual Seattle Heads-Up Championship!  Using a single-elimination bracketed format the same as NCAA Basketball, players split into 4 divisions will battle each other for cash prizes, huge league points and bragging rights. 

Years past have filled to capacity very quickly, and due to the anticipated increase in demand for this year's event, we've increased the bracket to 96 players.  Each of the 4 divisions of the bracket (Spade, Club, Heart & Diamond) will have 8 "Super Slots" that are reserved for VIP members (first 32 to sign up). Each division's Super Slot winner will get a bye in the round of 8... a huge advantage in a single elimination event! (Click here for a look at the bracket)

Here are the details:

  • This a free roll event - there is absolutely no cost to participate and is open to anyone
  • Participation is on a first-come/first-served basis 
  • 4 divisions will hold 20 players each.
  • Upon arrival, players are randomly seeded to determine who they face off against. First to arrive will be first to play.
  • Cards are in the air at 12:30 p.m. sharp
  • Matches will commence 8-12 at a time.
  • It will be 'deal your own' - no dealer's will be provided.
  • Single elimination – lose once and you’re out!
  • All players start all levels with 1500 in chips and will play until 1 player has all the chips.
  • Blinds double every 10 minutes, and start at 25/50.
  • The final Heads-Up winner will be determined by a Best of 3 contest.

    Prizes and League Point payouts are as follows:
    • If you win the 1st level, you receive 35 points* or 4 stamps on your PRC
    • If you win the 2nd level, you receive 65 points* or 6 stamps on your PRC
    • If you win the 3rd level, you receive 105 points* or 8 stamps on your PRC
    • If you win the 4th level, you receive 150 points* or 10 stamps on your PRC
    • Runner-Up receives $75, free buy-in to Tulalip's Saturday tournament and 200* points or 12 stamps on your PRC
    • The winner receives $150, Vegas vacation package (including airfare & hotel), Champion's trophy, SPO VIP Membership, a guaranteed seat in the SPO Spring Championship on July 20th.

    * All points awarded in this event are Specialty Points and cannot be distributed to any of the Divisions. Players have an option of taking Specialty Points or credits on their Player Rewards Card.

    Advanced sign-up's are available, and strongly recommended.  VIP members have a guaranteed seat in this event, but must still sign-up.  You must be a registered member of the SPO to be eligible for this event (registration is easy and free - click here).
