You’ve seen it on NBC, now put your skills to the test… the 1st Annual Seattle Heads-Up Championship! Using a single-elimination bracketed format the same as NCAA Basketball, 64 players split into 4 divisions will battle each other for cash prizes, huge league points and bragging rights. Here are the details:
This a free roll event - there is absolutely no cost to participate
Participation is on a first-come/first-served basis.
4 divisions will hold 16 players each.
Upon arrival, players are randomly seeded to determine who they face off against. First to arrive will be first to play.
Matches will commence 8 at a time.
It will be 'deal your own' - no dealer's will be provided.
Single elimination – lose once and you’re out!
All players start all levels with 1500 in chips and will play until 1 player has all the chips.
Blinds double every 10 minutes, and start at 25/50.
The final Heads-Up winner will be determined by a Best of 3 contest.
Prizes and League Point payouts are as follows:
If you don't survive the 1st level, you receive 2 points
If you win the 1st level, you receive 35 points
If you win the 2nd level, you receive 65 points
If you win the 3rd level, you receive 105 points
If you win the 4th level, you receive 145 points
Runner-Up receives 200 points and $150.00 cash
The winner receives 275 points, $350.00 cash, Champion's trophy, VIP Membership, and a guaranteed seat in the SPO Winter Championship on April 16th.
Advanced sign-up's are available, and strongly recommended. VIP members have a guaranteed seat in this event, but must still sign-up. You must be a registered member of the SPO (registration is easy and free - click here) to be eligible for this event.
